No pest control method involving chemicals or pesticides can be labeled as “safe”. In fact, this can be said about most chemicals–even dish soap! When ingested or when it comes in contact with eyes, dish soap can be a source of severe irritation.
We are all surrounded by chemicals, both organic and inorganic compounds, and it’s our responsibility to make sure they are used correctly. While some pest companies may claim their services are “pet-friendly” or “safe”, they cannot make those claims. The word “safe” is misleading and inaccurate.
At Pioneer Pest Management, we’re dedicated to giving all of our clients the information they need to be comfortable with the treatments that are being used in their homes and businesses. We’re also dedicated to using targeted, efficient treatments, to minimize any contact your family may have with these treatments. We understand why homeowners are concerned when it comes to pest control, which is why we are committed to giving you as much information as possible for our pest treatments.
Our pest treatments will be customized to your home and pets.
Whether we’re treating your home for ants, rodents, or cockroaches, our approach is simple: treat the specific areas that are affected with precise and effective treatments. We are not a pest control company that douses your backyard or interior indiscriminately; we’re always looking for the most efficient way to treat your pests.
Here are the basic considerations for your pets during treatment:
- Before applying any treatment outdoors, our technician will thoroughly inspect the exterior of your home. Any pets will need to be brought inside.
- When applying treatment indoors, all pet-related items (food/water dishes, bedding, toys, etc.) will need to be stored away.
- We will ask of homeowners to keep pets out of any treated areas until products can dry, which typically takes 15 minutes.
We use child-safe and pet-safe traps and bait stations.
At Pioneer Pest Management, we use non-lethal wildlife traps that are specially designed for the targeted species to be most effective, in areas where children and pets have access.
When treating a home for rodents, we use Tier One rated monitoring stations. These rodent monitoring stations can only be accessed with a key. Our specially designed stations also have ramped entries & baffles, so we can place them fully out of reach of children and non-targeted animals. With traps and bait stations from Pioneer Pest Management, you can have total peace of mind!
Our pest treatments are used with your family and your pets in mind.
Pioneer Pest Management is fully committed to Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This method of pest control dictates how and when to treat pests with as little involvement as possible. Our treatments are targeted and effective, making sure your family has as little exposure to pesticides as possible. We know that pets are a beloved part of your family, and that’s why we customize treatments with them in mind!
